Pelicans Are In!

You may not know what I mean by the title above. The New Orleans Pelicans are finally in the playoffs, their first appearance since 2011 (Chris Paul's last season). The Pelicans were racing with the Oklahoma  City Thunder to lock in as an 8th seed in the Western Conference. In order for the Pelicans to make the playoffs, they were in need of a win versus the defending champion San Antonio Spurs and were also in need of a loss by the Thunder versus the Timberwolves. Westbrook and the Thunder defeated the Timberwolves  138-111. No wonder why Anthony Davis was in this year's MVP talk because of how much energy he provides on the court and how much leadership he illustrates on the court for his team to get a win. I do not see the Pelicans giving the #1 seed Golden State Warriors any issues, but it great to see Anthony Davis in playoff contention. Pelicans front office do not need to change anything in the offseason, but they do need to pick up crucial free agents in order to climb up the Western Conference standings next year.
